Fgura Utd registered a third consecutive win in the futsal league when beating Mirachem 4-2 thus accumulating four wins in six games. This was a direct win against a team which like us still has a slim hope of promotion.

Fgura welcomed back in their ranks Twanny Gheiti, who had a good match, however yesterday’s hero was Paul Fenech who notched a hat trick. It was Fenech who opened the score when sliding in on a Kevin Gatt shot. Bianco, safe as ever, was beaten from a shot deflected by Azzopardi and the final whistle of the first half saw the teams tied on one apiece. In the second half Gatt again was the provider for Fenech who crossed from the by line for Fenech to send home. Fenech was fouled outside the box and from the resulting freekick Fenech again laid for Azzopardi who blasted the ball in the roof of the net. Fenech made it 4-1 when resolving a goal mouth scramble. A late Mirachem goal was not enough to enable them to enter back again in the fray.
