On a cold windy evening, Fgura registered the seventh positive result on the trot, beating Ghaxaq 1-0 and vindicating the loss by the same margin of the first round. Fgura are now joint second with Attard who yesterday drew 0-0 with Qrendi.

The high wind made it almost impossible to play constructive football, but Fgura were the best outfit just the same. Fgura played with the wind behind their backs in the first half and scored the only goal on the 25th minute when a Felice cross was claimed by young Jason Gauci inside the box who did not miss infront of Celeste. Fgura had a shot by Galea which went over the bar while Farrugia in Fgura goal was rarely tested.

In the second half despite playing against the wind, Fgura still displayed the better ideas, with Ghaxaq causing most of their danger from corners, which our defense clearing without any problems. On the other end Fgura went near to double the score on a number of occasions, the most open of them, when Spiteri shot wide from an ideal position.
