Fgura United FC vs Qrendi 2-0

The Senior team returned to winning ways beating Qrendi 2-0 and overtaking the same team in the table. Fgura fielded a team filled with hungry youngsters who all gave a good account of themselves. 
 
Fgura played last season's league topscorer, Clint Ellul in a the libero position, a role which he occupied back in his nursery days with Floriana. Mark Sammut was on the starting eleven, playing in the stopper role and another minor Claudio Pace made his debut in the Senior's team coming on as sub late in the game. Fguraa also welcomed the return of Daniel Said who left his mark in the midfield with his continuous running.
 
Fgura took the lead in the first half when a Garzia shot took a deflection and dropped behind Mascena in the Qrendi goal. Qrendi had a ball which hit the upright in what was their most dangerous scoring opprtunity in the match.
 
In the second half Garzia scored his second goal when he chased and pressed keeper Mascena, who failed to clear away the danger and Garzia had the easiest of tasks putting the ball in an empty net.
 
Later on Mascena distinguished himself with two close range shots with the ball falling to Spiteri who incredibly from a few metres away of an empty net, shot over the bar.
