The Under 14’s returned to competitive football after a long period of inactivity. Attard, one of the best team of this strong section wanted to repeat the first round scoreline (6-0) to keep breathing down the necks of leaders Gozo. Stand-in coach Vella had to re-invent the defence as many key players were missing. Attard won 4-0, all goals scored in the first half. In the second half young Daniel Buttigieg saved a penalty to keep a clean sheet in the second period.

Fgura were kept on the defense for long stretches of the match and their forays upfront were rare and far between. However our young squad, peppered with Under 12 players, still deserves a word of praise, for their commitment displayed against a much stronger and robust Attard outfit.
