Gozo demonstrated their strength, and the debutants in the YFA leagues showed that with the material they posses will be playing amongst the elite in Malta in a couple of years. Fgura tried to keep a minimum scoreline as possible. The plan seemed to be working as the first half ended goal less. This happened due to the fact that Gozo opted for power instead of precision in their shooting and thus in many occasions they were off target. Our boys have their merits too, as they defended in a composed manner but the strength of our opponents came to the fore in the second half when the Gozitans started to combine better with each other and their neat passes and good technique was the key element why their forwards created good scoring opportunities, and in a position were they could shoot at goal with ease. They managed to score five times at regular intervals.
