Another heavy defeat for our youngsters against a more physically and robust side. M’Xlokk won 7-0 taking a 4-0 lead by the end of the first half. Although technically our lads were not that inferior, our minute players lack speed and strength which is indispensible at this age and these factors are leaving the undesired result on the final scoreline.

The dimension of this big defeat could have been easily diminished when two minutes on the break the referee validated a goal that seemed to have been cleared off the fatal line. This was the third goal of the match with M’Xlokk adding another by the halftime whistle. The nearest Fgura came to a consolation goal was when Matthew Gauci’s effort from distance was turned to a corner by the opposing keeper.
