After the last week-end shock defeat at the hands of Zejtun C, Fgura United returned to winning ways beating B'Buga Windmills 1-0, to go top of the table together with three other teams on 15 points. However these teams have two games in hand as they are still maintaining their 100% record.

It was a difficult match on a cold Saturday afternoon played in the small Tarxien Ground. Fgura were the better team in the first half and took a deserved lead through a Keith Casaletto direct free-kick. Ascolese could have added another one a few minutes later but his close range header went high.

In the second half, with the teams pelted by hail in some instances, B'buga increased their pressure but the most clear chances came our way, but somehow Vella and Ascolese failed to score. Towards the end Bianco produced a fine decisive save from a close range shot to secure Fgura's 3 points.
