The Under 16’s gave a poor display and lost 2-0 against a highly motivated  Kalkara side. The team was disjointed with the forward line receiving poor support from behind and thus their presence in the opponent’s penalty area was almost inexistent.

Kalkara took the lead midway through the first half from an indirect freekick situation, the ball hitting the upright before going in. At the start of the second half Kalkara doubled the score, capitalizing on the ill positioning of our defense, with the ball again hitting the upright on its way in. Fgura tried to put some pressure on the seasiders back line but their efforts proved sterile as Kalkara controlled our attempts with ease and tempted us with forays but the score line was not to change.
