Fgura under the guidance of returning Rainier Farrugia managed to obtain the first win of the season. Fgura took the lead thanks to a Jason Gauci direct freekick. However Msida SJ managed to draw level when their centreforward nipped the ball ahead of keeper Buttigieg. They even took the lead a few minutes later. Fgura's reaction was vehement and after Claudio Pace missed an easy chance he soon made amends when managed to shrug off two opponents and slot the ball past the goalkeeper. By the end of the Half Franklin Seisun scored the third goal when resolving a goalmouth melee. In the second half Christian Bordieri's fierce shot was only partially saved by the keeper as the ball ended its journey into the net. Towards the end Msida tries to salvage the match but though creating some good scoring opportunities they did not manage to beat goalkeeper Buttigieg.
