A disappointing campaign came to an end with a heavy defeat at the hands of Sirens hailing from the top part of Section D. It was a season were most of the players who formed part of the promotion winning side of last year, either had to sit out the season due to injury or their commitment towards the team was intermittent. It was a season were the team had to go through a change of the man in the helm, as the initial coach resigned and last season’s coach Rainier Farrugia instilled back to his job. Farrugia had to cope with all the defections by introducing a good number of the Under 16’s in the team. In fact in the latter matches of the league, the boys coming from the younger category formed the majority of the squad.

Back to the Sirens game, Farrugia had to invent a formation to face this delicate match, but the lineup did not function and the team found himself 4 goals down in the early stages of the match. The team was shifted around a bit and the hemorrhage was stopped but it was too late in the day to save the game.
