The 9th of September 2009 is to be marked as a red letter day in the history of our Club. President and Secretary were called by the Kunsill Malti Ghall-iSport to sign the contract for transferring by temporary emphaytius (cens) for a duration of 49 years of our facilities at Triq Valperga together with two other pieces of adjacent land. The Chief Executive of the KMS, Mr. Joe Cassar signed on behalf of the KMS in the presence of Public Notary Dr. Joe Cilia.

 

The House of Parliament will be required to approve the contract in the first sessions of the reopening of Parliament in the coming weeks following their summer break. This is an important step in the right direction in obtaining the much awaited MEPA permit that will enable us to commence work on our infrastructural project which will comprise the building of a full size artificial pitch, full size five-a-side pitch and a new club house with all its amenities.
