The senior teams are still lokking for a first goal and a positive result this season.

 

It seems that luck is not on our side, even though displays are visibly improving.

 

In this match coach Testaferrata had to do without Clint Ellul injured and Melvin Pisani while Calvagna did not make the initial eleven. Fgura have still to recover Wayne Nappa.

 

Ivan Pace, Jason Gauci and Lydon Vella started instead. Keeper Renald Attard had a good match in goal. Naxxar were that bit better but Fgura gave a good account of themselves. However Lions took the lead after we lost possesion in midfield. Vella came close to level the score but the keeper saved with difficulty.

 

In the second period, the game followed the same pattern with Drago's overhead kick got deflected against the upright and cleared away to safety. In the dying minutes with Fgura playing with ten men with Ivan Cassar out injured, Naxxar scored their second goal to seal matters.
