Again only eleven players turned out for this match. A long list of suspended, ill, injured and unavailable players made an already small squad more small. All fielded players were in the first year of the Under 17 age group.

 

St.Georges commanded the run of play in the first 30 minutes scoring a goal in a combined smooth move. Fgura's reaction came late in the first half and Mazzonello shot wide from an ideal position.

 

St. George's added another after another nice move. Fgura were not dead and buried and late in the match from aquick taken free kick Mazzonello ran down the right flank and scored from an acute angle. Buttigieg saved to a corner an insidous shot with Mazzonello clinching an equalizer in an incredible manner. With the goal keeper out of position after clearing the ball in a throw in, our boys resumed play instantly and Antonino's shot sailed over the gk hit the ground and ended its journey at the roof of the net.
