Fgura are laying at the foot of the table after suffering another defeat to high flying Mgarr United. Mgarr's athletic game took the better of a Fgura side missing Vince Testaferrata and Jesmond Lia injured or sick, while during the game Glenn Azzopardi Busuttil and Carl Calvagna had to hobble off the pitch too. Keeper Attard had a good match in his return back in goal.

 

Fgura had a dream start when Rodney Galea put us infront however Mgarr equalized from a free kick situation. Fgura could have taken the lead at the stroke of halftime when our forwards failed to connect to an inviting ball from a Galea freekick.

 

After a few minutes in the second half, Calvagna received another knock and had to be substituted and in the minutes that followed with the team still unsettled, Mgarr caught our defense square and two of their players came in front of Attard in one on one situation and slotted the ball past him with ease. Our boys tried hard to get the equalizer but could not open up the Mgarr's back line. On the other hand they were becoming more menacing on the break with Attard having to come to the rescue on a number of occassions.
