Our young lads registered a creditable 0-0 draw against promotion seekers Sirens.

 

The match was evenly matched especially in the first period and Fgura went close to find the net with a distant shot by Carl Ciantar and a richocet off James Cauchi which hit the cross bar before the ball was cleared to safety. In between these chances Sirens could have opened the score themselves but their forward concluded wide from an ideal position.

 

In the second half Sirens tried harder and our defense at times had to defend passing through anxious moments. Still substitute Wayne Zammit could have found the net when on the break his premature shot went wide when he could have easily advanced further with the ball. Leone Camilleri saved the day foe the boys in red with two good saves on the ground. Fgura could have bagged all three points when our forwards failed to connect a delightful ball from an Eugenio Abela free kick.
