Fgura mangaed to hold leaders and league contenders Sta. Venera to a 1-1 draw. It was a balanced affair with Fgura being the better team in the first period, as they were playing with the wind behind their backs and Sta. Venera pushed in the second period trying to get the much needed three points.

Daniel Fenech hit the upright directly from a corner and Juan Mifsud opened the score running away from his marker on a good break. In the second period, Sta. Venera drew level with a lobbed shot which took Coleiro in goal by surprise. Sta Venera were than awarded apenalty for some pushing and shoving that took place in the box, but luckily their skipper shot over the bar.
