In an entertaining and balanced match between two teams lying at the foot of the table, Mqabba registered a 2-0 victory with two late goals. Fgura once again had severe selection problems. It was a match were a good number of occassions were created but the two opposing goalkeepers, especially the extreme defender for Mqabba had a good match.

In the first half Camilleri, Mizzi and Guarracino were at the end of some good moves but these were all saved by the keeper. At the other end Mqabba missed too some golden opportunities and on another occassion were denied by the upright.

In the second half, play continued on the same pattern with Mizzi denied on more than one occassion. With Fgura looking more likely to score, Mqabba broke the deadlock, catching our defense wrong footed from a quick throw in situation. With Fgura looking for an equalizer, Mqabba created some swift counters in one of which they managed to double the score.
