The Under 15’s registered a double over Ghaxaq winning 4-1. Ghaxaq started the game well as Fgura failed to take the initiative in the early stages but Gauci served Farrugia who opened the score. Elebrashy was unlucky when he hit the upright after collecting a short clearance. However his luck changed when he headed home a Caruana freekick which thumped the crossbar to make the score 2-0. Mazzonello could have made it 3-0 before the break but he shot wide from an ideal position.

 

Ghaxaq reduced the arrears after Rueben and his twin brother in goal Daniel lacked communication as what looked as a harmless ball rolled slowly across the line. Fgura regained the authority as Caruana’s lob went agonizingly wide but Farrugia and Mazzonello scored two goals in quick succession from close range to secure the three points.
