Mdina K registered their first ever win in their brief history over Fgura United winning 4-1. It was not that easy for the Knights in a match Fgura lost both their central defenders through injury; Clint Ellul and Duncan Burke.

Mdina took an early lead thanks to a goal scored after six minutes when our defense failed to clear away the danger. The first half was characterized by a number of scoring chances on both ends with Fgura coming close with two headers by Testaferrata which went over the bar. In the second half with the wind in their favour, Mdina came out the stronger and even found more space were to build their breaks. Fgura missed a chance through Bordieri and after the referee awarded a disputed foul in favour of Mdina, caught our team wrong footed to score their second. Late in the game Fgura reduced the arrears; a Rodney Galea freekick was partially saved by the gk and Felix Galea deposited in goal. However his brother Sean was guilty of two mistakes in defense which allowed Mdina to score the remaining two goals with ease in the dying minutes of the match.
