With the hope of winning the section squashed in the last outing after the loss with joint leaders Zejtun C, our boys lost to a resilient Gzira Utd. Again the boys failed to convince in the first half and were dominated by our opponents hungrier for the three points. Gzira amnaged to build a three goal lead by the end of the half. With some positional changes, the second half was a different story as Fgura created wave after wave of attacks and scored twice through Antonino Mazzonello, the first after a solo run and the second after receiving a nice ball from Farrugia. Farrugia could have saved the game for us but twice failed to find the net from a couple of meters away from goal.
