Yesterday's goal drought was followed by a downpour of goals in the two Group A matches that produced a total of 13 goals!

 

Kirkop overturned a 1-0 deficit to win with the odd goal in three against Marsa. Marsa fielding practically the same starters from the previous match, were the better team in the first half and after a William Debattista's lob was overturned to a corner by the  outstretched palms of Mark Farrugia on the 20th minute, the keeper was unable to stop a long drive 2 minutes later fired by William's brother Charlo.

 

Kirkop was a transformed team in the second period and equalized after six minutes of restart when Glenn Busuttil headed home a Bryon Falzon corner. Substitute Steve Shead was unlucky when his effort on 71st minute thumped the crossbar before going out of play. Two minutes later veteran Tyron Bonnici found the net from outside the box, a goal which proved to be the winner.
