The tournament resumed today with two matches from Group B where in the favourites did not falter in bagging the three points.

 

Naxxar dominated Fgura winning 3-0. They went ahead after 12 minutes manouvering a quick break concluded by Trevor Fenech. On 38 minute Glenn Magri doubled the score. The upright denied the Lions from a third in the first period and the woodwork again came to the rescue of Fgura immediately after the restart. However on 63 minute Kevin Fenech converted a direct freekick. The hosts tried to get a consolation goal and on 75th minute Rodney Galea from a set piece laid the ball to Clint Ellul whose drive was turned to a corner by the keeper.
